BabushkApp vs Jitterbug — app or new phone?

Jitterbug and similar phones exist for a reason. So does a home screen app on the phone they already carry.

The question is not which is "better" — it is whether the problem is navigation on a smartphone, or the smartphone itself.

When the app is enough

They already have WhatsApp. Incoming calls work. The struggle is starting a call, finding your chat, or reading small icons. BabushkApp hides the maze behind one red icon.

When hardware might help

The screen is too small even with large text, they refuse smartphones entirely, or you need a dedicated emergency pendant with fall detection. Hardware solves different problems.

Try BabushkApp on their existing phone first. If the phone itself is the problem — too small, battery dies, no WhatsApp — then look at hardware.
