Add BabushkApp to the home screen
After you create the buttons, add the BabushkApp icon to the phone home screen so the simple calling screen opens like an app.
Before installing
- 1Open BabushkApp on the older family member's phone.
- 2Create at least one contact button and check that it opens the right call or chat.
- 3Keep only the buttons they should use on the final screen.
iPhone / Safari
- 1.Open BabushkApp in Safari, not Chrome or another iPhone browser.
- 2.Tap the Share button in Safari.
- 3.Scroll and choose Add to Home Screen.
- 4.Confirm the name and tap Add. A red BabushkApp icon appears on the home screen.
Android / Chrome
- 1.Open BabushkApp in Chrome on the phone.
- 2.Open the browser menu.
- 3.Tap Install app or Add to Home screen.
- 4.Confirm. The BabushkApp icon appears with the other apps.
If the install button does not appear
- Check that the page is open in Safari on iPhone or Chrome on Android.
- Refresh the page and try the browser menu again.
- If the browser still does not show install, keep the page bookmarked and use the setup again later.
Check the icon
Tap the new BabushkApp icon. It should open the screen with large contact buttons, not the marketing page.
