A simple iPhone screen for an older parent
Turn an iPhone into a screen with a few large buttons — call, message, WhatsApp, Telegram. You set it up; they see only the people they call. No new phone to buy.
Who sets it up, who uses it
You (the relative) open BabushkApp in Safari, add the people they call most, and put the icon on the home screen. They see only big buttons like “Call Anna” or “WhatsApp Son” — no settings, no app grid, no chat lists.
Why it fits an iPhone
- Works in Safari and installs to the home screen — no App Store account, no download.
- Buttons are large and high-contrast, readable at arm's length; each says the action and the person.
- Contacts stay on the iPhone. No sign-up, and nothing is sent to a server.
Adding it to an iPhone
On iPhone the icon is added by hand in Safari: tap Share, then “Add to Home Screen.” It takes a few taps — there is no automatic install. The full steps, including what to do if the option is missing, are on the install page.
Contacts are saved in the phone's browser, not in an account. If the browser data is cleared they can be removed — keep a copy from the setup screen.
