Setup help
Short answers for whoever is setting up the phone. If something doesn't add up, message us and we'll fix it.
How do I add a button?
Open Setup, tap Create button, type a label, pick a type — call, SMS or messenger — and enter the number or link. The label is optional: leave it blank and the button shows the number.
How do I change a button?
In setup mode, tap the button and change its label, type, number or colour. Then Save.
How do I delete a button?
In setup mode, tap the red bin icon next to the button and confirm. Only that button, on this phone, is removed.
How do I check a button works?
Tap it yourself before handing the phone back. The right call, SMS or chat should open. Setting up remotely? Test the button on your own phone first, then send the link.
How do I set up WhatsApp?
For a chat, enter the person’s number. For a call, paste the permanent call link you create inside WhatsApp itself.
How do I set up Telegram?
Enter a @username or a phone number. Test the button while the phone is still with you.
Where are the contacts stored?
Only in the browser on this phone. We have no server and no accounts — we never see numbers or names.
What happens on a new phone?
The buttons don’t move by themselves. Carry them over with “Save a copy” → “Restore”, or send them from the old phone with “Share setup”. Setting up again takes the same 5 minutes.
Can I save a copy of the buttons?
Yes. In setup mode tap “Save a copy” to download a file. On the new phone, open setup and tap “Restore”, then pick that file.
Can I set it up if their phone is in another city?
Yes. Create the buttons on your own phone, then open “More” → “Share setup”. That makes a link carrying the buttons. Send it in a message; when they open it and confirm, the same buttons appear on their screen. The link travels through your chat — it is not stored anywhere by us.
Why is there no sign-up?
So setup takes a couple of minutes and we store nothing on a server. The buttons live on the phone — to move or back them up, use “Save a copy” and “Restore”.
